The Zero Waste Festival Will Take Place at DasDas and KüçükÇiftlik Park... They Will Listen to Concerts While Picking Up Trash.

Festtogether will offer a unique festival experience by utilizing the unifying power of music along with sports, art, culture, and environmental workshops. Inviting participants to an experience that raises environmental awareness, Festtogether will take place at DasDas on September 14 and at KüçükÇiftlik Park on September 28.

Large festivals around the world generate a total of 20,000 tons of waste each year, averaging 2.8 kilograms of waste per person. The primary goal of FESTTOGETHER is to raise ecological awareness by harnessing the unifying power of music. Various NGOs, including TİDER, İhtiyaç Haritası, Buğday Ekolojik Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği, TOG, Çevko, Tohum Otizm Vakfı, TED, and Çaba Derneği, along with the Bicycle Women Initiative and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), support the festival, with Adım Adım acting as a partner for the Goodness Movement. Emphasizing the concept of “sustainability,” which means “the long-term reproduction necessary for a system to sustain itself,” FESTTOGETHER calls on everyone to take ownership of the planet.

RETURNING AS A TWO-DAY EVENT

Originally planned for July 14 but postponed, FESTTOGETHER is now returning over two separate days. On September 14, Bob Geldof and Büyük Ev Ablukada (Acoustic) will perform at DasDas in Ataşehir. On September 28, the festival will continue at KüçükÇiftlik Park with concerts by Athena, Unkle, Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz, Kimbra, and Son Feci Bisiklet. The star of FESTTOGETHER is Irish rock star and activist Bob Geldof, a prominent figure in social responsibility worldwide and the creator of the Live Aid concerts, which raised $127 million for Africa in 1985. The second part of FESTTOGETHER will take place at KüçükÇiftlik Park, known for hosting Istanbul's most popular events, where festival-goers can expect an exciting atmosphere and a day focused on social benefit.

OUR MOTTO IS TO HAVE FUN WITHOUT LEAVING A TRACE

HANDE TİBUK: MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NET HOLDING - CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BASIC NEEDS ASSOCIATION (TİDER):

“As TİDER, we advocate that the reality of waste is one of the most important components in the fight against poverty, and we do not overlook the harm it causes to the environment and climate. We are at Festtogether with the motto of having fun without leaving a trace. TİDER will carry out training and operations related to the proper separation of waste and sending it for recycling in the festival area with a vision of preventing waste and contributing to recycling. Our goal is for the organization to be beneficial to a sustainable and circular system.”

ITIR ERHART: FACULTY MEMBER OF BILGI UNIVERSITY - FOUNDING MEMBER OF ADIM ADIM INITIATIVE:

“Adım Adım is the movement partner of the festival. We established Adım Adım with the aim of encouraging individuals to take action for societal development and solving social issues. Instead of remaining indifferent to problems, individuals physically take action by running, raising donations, and creating awareness. This aligns very well with the mission of Festtogether. One of the festival's goals is to raise awareness among individuals and encourage them to take action for sustainability.”
