2017
Start and Launch: The Zero Waste project was initiated under the leadership of Ms. Emine Erdoğan. The project was introduced to the public and various campaigns were launched to raise awareness about waste management.
2018
Institutional Applications This year, steps were taken to implement zero waste systems in public institutions. At the same time, recycling and waste reduction projects were implemented, and concrete progress was made in waste management.
2019
Dissemination and Education Training was initiated in order to spread zero waste awareness in educational institutions. In addition, zero waste practices were rapidly spread at the local level in cooperation with municipalities.
2020
Legal Regulations Various legal regulations were made to establish a legal basis for zero waste principles. In addition, zero waste practices were made mandatory and control mechanisms were established.
2021
International Collaborations Zero waste projects were introduced worldwide in collaboration with the United Nations and other global organizations. Zero waste practices were disseminated on a wider scale on a global scale by organizing international conferences and seminars.
2022
Increasing Social Participation Collaboration was made with civil society organizations and local communities to ensure that zero waste projects reach all segments of society. Environmental cleaning and recycling events were organized with the participation of volunteers.
2023
Awards and Recognition Achievements in zero waste projects have been rewarded with awards. The project has gained widespread recognition both nationally and internationally and has been honored with many prestigious awards. In addition, the Zero Waste Foundation has been established, further strengthening the work in this area.
2024
Wide-Scope Applications The implementation of zero waste management systems in all sectors has been expanded and systems have been developed. By integrating innovative solutions with new technologies used in waste management, processes have been made more efficient.
