President Erdoğan Visited the "From Waste to Art Exhibition" in New York.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan, who are in New York to attend the 77th UN General Assembly, visited the "From Waste to Art Exhibition" prepared by artist Deniz Sağdıç.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan visited the "From Waste to Art Exhibition" in New York, organized by artist Deniz Sağdıç. Erdoğan, who received information about the exhibited works at the Turkish House, expressed that he found the paintings created from a variety of waste materials, including batteries, medicines, plastics, textiles, bottle caps, and electronics, to be impressive. He wished the artist success in his environmental endeavors. The exhibition tour was also attended by Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Chief Climate Negotiator Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar, and Turkey's Permanent Representative to the UN Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

A Textile Waste Painting Was Gifted to Guterres

Emine Erdoğan presented UN Secretary-General Guterres with a portrait made from textile waste pieces by artist Deniz Sağdıç, in line with the day's theme. 

The denim waste fabrics used in the portrait were chosen for their unifying role as a clothing preference for people of all languages, religions, races, and income levels worldwide, while the blue color symbolizes the colors of the UN.
