Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a post on her social media account for World Environment Day and Environment Week, drew attention to the environmental legacy offered by our civilization and the success of the Zero Waste movement.

On World Environment Day and during Environment Week, Emine Erdoğan shared a meaningful message on her social media account, emphasizing the importance of environmental awareness and nature conservation. She stated, "Our civilization history offers us an unparalleled and sustainable environmental legacy. We are responsible for protecting and preserving this legacy to avoid leaving mountains of waste for future generations."

Highlighting the importance of individual effort in protecting nature, Erdoğan said, "At this crossroads, it is up to us to choose to become healers of nature. By maintaining an environmentally friendly lifestyle, we can save our common home. The tremendous success of the #ZeroWaste and Zero Waste Blue movements has demonstrated to the world the significance of individual efforts in tackling environmental issues."

Expressing her appreciation for the sensitivity of young people regarding environmental matters, Erdoğan added, "Seeing the voluntary efforts of our citizens, especially the youth, who have embraced the Zero Waste movement, strengthens my belief in the fight against the climate crisis."
