Zero Waste
Emine Erdoğan announced on her social media account that the Zero Waste Movement is 6 years old. In her statement, she said, "Thanks to the efforts of our institutions and the determination of citizens of all ages, millions of tons of waste have been reintegrated into the economy."
Emine Erdoğan included the following statements in her post:
"The Zero Waste movement is 6 years old! With the support of our nation, which views nature as a blessing bestowed upon humanity, Turkey is now a leader in the global Zero Waste movement.
We have taken strong steps to spread the culture of Zero Waste, which resonates with every conscience day by day.
Thanks to the efforts of our institutions and the determination of citizens of all ages, millions of tons of waste have been reintegrated into the economy.
By declaring March 30 as International Zero Waste Day under the decision of the United Nations General Assembly, we have opened the door to a global transformation.
The Global Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration, which was first signed by our President, has accelerated this transformation and paved the way for a green page for humanity.
All volunteers who carry the concern of leaving a clean world for future generations have said with a signature, 'I am in this fight!'
With the strength we derive from this belief, we will continue to shout for our common home against climate change in line with the goals we have set as the UN Zero Waste Advisory Board.
I thank all the friends who listen to the voice of trees, soil, and water and strive to build a more just world. #TheWorldIsOurCommonHome"
