Emine Erdoğan attended the Van Lake Symposium, organized as part of the Van Lake Basin Conservation Action Plan and Implementation Program.

Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Minister Murat Kurum attended the "Van Lake Symposium" held in the Edremit district of Van.

After the symposium, they visited the Central Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Tuşba district of Van, where they received information about the facility constructed by the Van Metropolitan Municipality.

Following this, Erdoğan and Kurum examined the "Van Lake Bottom Cleaning" activities initiated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change to restore the living habitat of various species to its natural state.

They also participated in a beach cleaning event at Van Lake alongside "Environmental Inspector" children. Erdoğan and Minister Kurum thanked the children for their environmental awareness and later watered a fir tree planted in memory of the day for a "Greener Van."
